Thank you for your patience. As promised earlier we would like to provide more details. 

January 29th, we experienced an issue with internet connectivity. Our internal network had no issues, but we had no connection outside of our own network. The problem was initially solved within a short time, but it occurred again, we worked intensively to fix it and now it’s solved completely. 

The problem was located to be related with our firewalls and we contacted our supplier to get extra support with solving the issue as soon as possible. Together with our supplier we have looked through logs from the incident, change logs from earlier maintenance etc. It was found that they have been handled correctly and according to guidelines. While it’s not yet possible to determine an exact root cause, it is believed to be an issue from an earlier software upgrade.  

We will continue to investigate possible changes to our network to prevent similar issues going forward. 

Our status page on internetstiftelsen.se has shown to be broken in these types of incidents. We have started work to change these pages to be more useful, as it’s of course not satisfying that these pages were showing all green at the same time our systems were not reachable from outside our own network.
